100 years of Nikon : Nikon Museum

If you are visiting Tokyo, you can make a trip to Nikon Museum near Shinagawa Station.(within 10mins walk from the JR train station) .

After walking in the museum, the first item you will see is a huge crystal, this is to represent how Nikon started their business as a Lens manufacturer in 1917. You will have a chance to see the “history” of all the  Nikon camera models, as well as some of the prototypes in the featured showcase corner. Kids love the Lens Laboratory corner, where they can touch & experience how lens works here.

Not just the imaging industry, Nikon brought their technology into the Bioscience, Medical as well as the Aerospace industry.

From time to time, there are different photo exhibition holds in the museum as well.

Before leaving the museum, do remember to check the souvenir shop as you can pick up some limited edition souvenirs for yourself or your friends.
